Greek Goddess Iris is associated with rainbows, the sending and receiving of messages, and linking gods with humanity. It is also believed that Iris was responsible either for fulfilling prayers or bringing human prayers to the attention of the other gods who could in turn fulfill them. As the personification of the ephemeral rainbow, Iris is a sign of hope and finding the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. She also represents a brighter future regardless of how the past unfolded.
